Progress Reports!
We also just completed our first trimester progress reporting period and you should have all received a progress report in the mail. We are very pleased to report that Mt. SAC ECA students had an average GPA of 3.61 and an overall average per class of 91.84% at the first progress report. This kind of success is the result of a strong pack, so keep it up Timberwolves!
Each semester, we have two progress grading periods before the final semester grading period. These progress grades are important to inform students and parents about current academic progress. The next progress grading period will end on November 1, 2019 and the first semester will end December 19, 2019. The semester grades will appear on a student's permanent transcript, so it is important to use School Loop and progress report information throughout the semester to ensure students are making consistent progress toward their very best semester grades.

Stay in the Loop!
Go to https://msac-wcusd-ca.schoolloop.com/ all you need to know is your student's six-digit ID number and you'll be able to register for a parent account.
All 9th graders will take the PSAT 8/9 and 10th graders will take the PSAT/NMSQT on Wednesday, October 16th.
Why Take the PSAT 8/9?
The PSAT 8/9 is often a student’s first experience with the SAT Suite of Assessments and it includes the same types of questions students will see on the other tests. It’s a low-stakes test, meaning colleges and scholarship programs will never see the score. It’s used as an early barometer to identify areas of study that may need work
Why Take the PSAT/NMSQT?
The PSAT/NMSQT is practice for the SAT. Its sections and questions follow the same format. As with the SAT, PSAT/NMSQT takers have a chance to opt into the Student Search Service® and receive communications directly from colleges. What makes the PSAT/NMSQT unique from the rest of the tests in the SAT Suite of Assessments is that it’s the qualifying test for the National Merit® Scholarship Program. The top performers on the PSAT/NMSQT can qualify for scholarships and recognition from this prestigious award program.
Students can find more information regarding the SAT Suite of Assessments, scholarship opportunities, as well as access their scores on or after December 12 through the College Board website.
Please note, students will need two No. 2 pencils and a calculator (optional).
