Re-enrollment will begin soon. We will offer an early bird discount until February 14, 2023. The application for financial assistance will be open at that time. Bishop Olson - Mass January 25th
Bishop Olson will be celebrating the 8:00 AM Mass on Wednesday, January 25th. Our third-grade class will be hosting this Mass. Please make plans to attend if you are available.
SMGCS Blood Drive - January 29th - Help us Reach Our Goal of 44 Donors!
SMG is sponsoring a blood drive. Sign up to reserve a time slot to donate blood during Catholic School Week Open House and Spaghetti Dinner.
Will you help us meet the need for blood? We cannot do it without you!
The blood inventory remains greatly challenged. This continual shortage has been caused by a lack of donors due to many companies working remotely and school districts not allowing blood drives during the pandemic, which has decreased the access to potential donors.
Your blood donation is an irreplaceable gift that saves lives right here in your community. More than 1,000 people a day must donate blood in order to maintain our local blood supply. Please consider making a donation and giving the gift of life.

Last Week at SMGCS
Kindergarten
The Kindergarten class did such a wonderful job celebrating Winter at Tuesday's Home & School meeting. In true Texas form, it was a warm day, but we had winter in our hearts :) A special thanks to Mrs. Richards for coordinating a terrific performance and to Mrs. Bara for all of her help! Please see the link below to view videos and pictures of our performance. Students in attendance earned a jean day on Monday, January 23rd.
2nd Grade: Usborne Greek Myths - The Wooden Horse
Second grade was introduced to Usborne Greek Myths with the read aloud The Wooden Horse. Students were able to narrate who the main characters were, the problem, and analyze if the King and Queen made the right choices throughout the story.
Using Usborne’s Greek Myths Watercolor Book, students hand painted the scene from The Wooden Horse.
Mrs. Gutierrez Joins D.C. Walk for Life
First, second and third grade students prayed over Mrs. Gutierrez's jersey which she will wear at Saturday's Walk for Life in D.C.
A note from Mrs. Gutierrez:
The Respect Life movement has been an important part of my life. Today I shared with your students that I will be flying to Washington D.C. to take part in the National March for Life. It has been a personal goal of mine for a while. With the overturning of Roe v. Wade, I feel called to show that there is still a reason to march. We celebrate the victory and continue to pray until all lives in the womb are protected. Please say a prayer for my safe travels and join me in praying for our country, the unborn, and the conversion of hearts. I will be taking everyone’s prayer with me to the march.
