Information about Brunelleschi
Brunelleschi was born in 1377 in Florence, Italy. He spent most of his life in Florence, Italy building and designing cathedrals and other buildings. When he was younger he worked with Andrea Pisano as a goldsmith. He learned sculpting with Donatello and Ghiberti. Brunelleschi traveled a lot to build monuments and cathedrals. Brunelleschi also worked on and created sculptures and other architecture for example he designed a church named S.Lorenzo in Florence, Italy. Brunelleschi also worked on military fortifications in cities such as Pisa, Rencine, Vicopisano, Castellina and Rimini.
The Dome
The name of the Dome was Santa Maria del Fiore it was created in 1296-1462 you can go visit the dome in Florence, Italy. This Cathedral was important because they had to build a Dome over the church. Brunelleschi helped with the architecture and design. I find this piece interesting because when it was first built there was no dome on it so rain and other things got into the cathedral. The ism I would use to describe Brunelleschi's work is skepticism, because Brunelleschi would not let anyone see his work so he was very skeptic of the people he was working with
