PTO Read-a-Thon: Activate Your Student's Account
It's time for the MCCLURE ELEMENTARY PTO Read-a-thon!
This year, our PTO will once again be holding a Read-a-thon fundraiser. Our Read-a-thon is a program that brings students together with family and friends to encourage reading and to build literacy skills. The main focus of the Read-a-thon is for everyone to know we are committed to improving reading skills. To that end, the Read-a-thon promises to be a fun, exciting journey for all participants as they begin a personal Reading Adventure that challenges each reader to read 20 minutes a day (can include minutes read in class and at home) over our 2-week event. Our Read-a-thon will officially start October 12, 2023 and ends October 26, 2023.
Step 1: Register Your Student: This account will serve as a hub for recording and monitoring your child's progress as a Reader in the event, and for you to share their Read-A-Thon message with friends and family. Use the link below to activate your student's Reader account:

Good to Know Info
Arrival & Dismissal
Ensuring the safety of our students is our top priority. Our arrival and dismissal procedures have been carefully designed to maintain order and ensure safety for all. We kindly request your cooperation in strictly following these procedures, specifically adhering to the following:
Arrival:
- Students may be dropped off after 8:20 am Monday-Thursday and after 9:10am on late start Fridays. There is no one on duty to supervise students before 8:20am M-Th/9:10am on Friday. Children are not allowed to be unsupervised on the front lawn or sidewalk for their own safety.
- In the mornings, for parents wishing to drop their child and go you will enter on SW 25th Ter. and drive south along the driveway, stop at the end of the drive to allow your child to get out of the car and onto the sidewalk. Do not drop students off in the middle of the road on 25th Ter or Chelsea Dr.
- Please follow the city signage posted and be certain that you are in a designated parking area before you leave your vehicle. See photo of no parking zones below.
Dismissal:
- If you choose to walk up to pick up your child, please do not park in the 'no parking zones'. See photo of no parking zones below.
- When exiting the driveway, cars can only turn right from 3-4pm.
Your support in this mater is greatly appreciated. Together, we can ensure the safety of all.
*All arrival/dismissal procedures can be viewed in the document linked below.
