IMPORTANT DATES COMING UP

Dear Carman Parents,

This school year seems to be flying by quickly! I hope you are enjoying Spring!

Just a few reminders for upcoming events:

* Supply Pickup for Virtual Learning Students will take place on Monday, April 19th. As this is a Virtual Day for all students, you are welcome to pick up supplies any time between 8:30 - 4:45.

* All In-Person Students will have Virtual Learning every Monday through May 24th.

* Carman Trails PTO is having a fundraiser with Papa John's on April 19th & 20th -- see the flyer below for details!

Special Note:

Due to not hosting large crowds, we will not have "May Day" this year. We have been told to stay the course to help mitigate the spread of Covid in our schools. The possibility of high temps with masks and close proximity of multiple classes together along with assemblies being canceled for this school year are the main reasons for the decision. We are looking forward to hosting more of our traditions next school year. Let's stay encouraged the trends will continue to decline.

With CT Pride,

Allison

MR. FOUSHEE'S ADVENTURE CLUB NEWS - April 18th, 2021

If You Don’t Like the Weather Wait 5 Minutes...

This week we introduced the students to the concepts of weather and climate. We watched an informative video on different climates and weather patterns around the world and then had a short discussion about which climates the students prefer. Surprise, surprise -- Tropical won by a landslide. We also started tracking the local high and low temperatures on a graph that the students update daily. Next week we will be starting our cinder block garden and celebrating Earth Day!

Grab a Spot on Virtual Learning Days from 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
