CHE Update for 4/23

Coyote Staff Update

CAASPP Testing Is Here!

State testing is officially here. Third grade is testing this morning. Please remember to minimize noise in the academic/quad areas so students can focus.

In preparing for the test, I was thinking about Advanced Placement testing for high school students. As those students go to take that assessment, teachers reassure them and cheer them on. Sometimes with state testing, adults can have negative or fixed mindsets when talking with students. But our kids are amazing and will totally SHINE on this assessment. They will believe if you believe!

2018-2019 Move Updates

I am still finalizing the move map. I spent time this weekend reviewing different options but I want to walk through the site one more time to make sure it is making sense. I am a visual learner and need to see where things are going to be located.

Many of you have asked about whether you'll be moving and whether you can have a particular classroom. I can't guarantee anything to anyone except that we will work to balance out the sides of the school and that we are working to intersperse our new TAP rooms across campus. Thanks for your patience.

Shout-Outs

Shout Out to Mrs. Symanski, Ms. Ellsworth, and Ms. Hansen for organizing the talent show. Amazing display of talent that was well organized and exciting to watch =)

Shout Out to Ms. Wilcox for arranging the Paul Deanno meteorologist presentation. Awesome presentation and experience for our students!

Shout out to all staff for taking on and organizing all of the spring field trips. These experiences are stressful to organize but important for our students. Thank you!

Shout to Mrs. Leamy and Mrs. Graham for being so willing to take on another round of 1st grade teacher interviews. It is much appreciated.

Report Cards for 2018-2019!

Reminder:

Starting next year, all K-8 schools will no longer be printing report cards and parents will have access to those report cards electronically. Parents who prefer a printed card or don't have access to the internet will be able to request a printed version from the main office. Site admin and clerical staff still has some training to go through and we will definitely be educating parents but we wanted to give you a heads up now as this will be coming!
