Raptor Report
Rushing Middle School: January 12
Principal's Message
Happy Friday, Rushing families! We had a wonderful full first week back. This week, students took an important benchmark assessment; this middle-of-the-year test was given in three subjects (math, literacy, and science). As a staff, we will look at the resulting information to ensure that we continue to learn together in whatever ways are needed so that the adults in the building continually improve our ability to ensure that all of our students learn at high levels.
Monday is a district holiday as we honor Dr. King's birthday. Please enjoy your time with your family! I hope that during this time away from school your family can reflect on the wonderful privilege we all have to access quality, public education thanks to the sacrifices of Dr. King and so many others!
If there is a weather event next week, please be safe and watch the news for any updates on whether Rushing will be impacted. While the district does treat sidewalks and other entrances and exits after an ice event, please be careful in the parking lots as those are not treated. Again, please be careful, and know that we will communicate if the normal school operations are impacted.
Enjoy the long weekend, and we will see you next week!
Dr. Roan
