Memorable Moments
To put it in other words, Townes is being kidnapped by a neighboring sorority to be taken to his fraternity's first party. This is definitely the most memorable moment because it is his first college party and sets the tone for the book.
"Just like that, rush was over. There would be no more free steak dinners, no more undeserved compliments and no more getting kidnapped by hot girls"(Bolen,56).
To put it another way, Townes has just realized that his fraternity brothers were just being nice to him to get him to join the fraternity. Hell week has started. Hell week is one of the main points in this book and is the main conflict making it very memorable.
"During my sophomore year, proceeding the biggest game of the season against our rival, i turned in my finest tailgating performance" (Bolen, 202).
By Townes saying it was his greatest performance allows the reader to understand the magnitude of this tailgating experience. Townes has a crazy day including blacking out, partying till the game, and running away from cops. this was one of the craziest moments in the book.
"Dealing with the cops is just another part of life when you are in a fraternity" (Bolen,246).
What Townes really means by this is that fraternities tend to get a little crazy and most fraternity brothers have a couple police stories. Townes explains three crazy stories that he had with the cops. Each crazier and more out of control than the next that created many memorable moments in the book.
