Teachers in Eastern Cultures
Japanese classroom teachers challenge their students so that the students can experience struggling with something outside of their knowledge. In eastern cultures it's assumed that the struggle is a part of the learning process. Everyone is expected to struggle but it give the students a chance to show they have what it takes to resolve a problem.
Students are challenged on a daily basis. It is part of the learning process

Differences Between East and West Cultures
Western cultures believe that children are born with talents and abilities. But Eastern cultures believe that any child can obtain these talents and/or abilities with hard work and determination.
- Teacher is the facilitator is the west while teachers in the east are the authority
- Individual is most important in the west while individuals are the least important in the east.
- Students ask questions in the west while students in the east are more hesitant.
