Whalers' Monday Message
Nantucket High School Inspires
Principal's Perspective - Dr. Buckey
Speaking of vision, last Wednesday we continued our NEASC accreditation work. The Vision of a Graduate work continued as well as planning for when to roll the draft out to various constituencies. We discussed business and community leaders, alumni, Town officials and Boards, families and students. We will solicit their input on not only what we have developed but on their ideas for what might be missing. Wednesday's work included looking at the NEASC Standards and seeing where we have evidence of alignment and where we might need to establish focus areas. This is good work for us and I am enjoying it.
This weekend - Saturday - is the FONPS Spelling Bee. Dinner starts at 5:30 with the Bee beginning at 6:30. This is always a great evening of fun. From our youngest spellers from NIS to our more veteran spellers from the Saltmarsh Center, the Bee has a little something for everyone. Mrs. Kubisch has already selected the words and is practicing some of the more unique pronunciations. I look forward to seeing you out to support FONPS on Saturday.
Let me know how you like the Message. if there are things I should include, please share. Thank you for reading!
