Deputy Learning Commons
Creativity, Curiosity, Innovation
May 2016
It's hard to believe that the end of the school year is here! Students spent the entire month of May exploring Osmo, Sphero, Cubelets, LittleBits, Magnatiles, and more! We had a month-long celebration of electronics, robotics, magnetics, building, interacting, designing, perseverance, problem-solving, creativity, inventing and collaborating were all happening in the Learning Commons.

Play is a powerful teacher.
We create connected toys - but that's not all. By fusing technology with robotics, our toys are teaching and inspiring tomorrow's inventors and innovators. Programming isn't easy, but you don't need to be a rocket scientist to give kids a strong foundation. All you need is a Sphero.

THANK YOU, ROLLING RETURNS!
A big thank you to our 5th grade Rolling Returns crew who have been so helpful in the Learning Commons! As members of the Rolling Returns, students were required to remember which day of the week they were to work, they also helped sort books, check them in and shelve them.
Students had so much fun at our pizza party!

About Us
- Get students excited about the library space and learning.
- Give students opportunities to work on engaging tasks.
- Provide spaces to work collaboratively, think critically, and creatively.
Also, to transition to a place where students DO stuff, not simply a place where students GET stuff.
