Senior Year Registration
Alert! Required Senior Year Immunizations!
(Para los requisitos de vacunación para personas mayores en español, haga clic aquí.)
Senior year is HERE! Any student who is not properly vaccinated will be excluded from classes. There are some immunizations that must be handled before the start of the 12th grade year. If your rising senior is schedule to have a physical in the next few months, please discuss with your physician the timing of these required immunizations. Beginning in 2014, all students are required to update their vaccinations for grade 12.
Requirements are:
●Hepatitis A (2 doses) now required for grades 4, 6 and 12
●HPV has been added as a recommendation for grades 6-12
●Annual influenza has been added as a recommendation for all ages.
●Meningococcal MCV4 second dose is still a requirement for grade 12.
(Please note: Meningococcal Serogroup B (MenB) has remained a recommendation for grade 12.)
Nurses will be at our back to school days during the summer (dates coming soon) to take and update immunization records for those students who got their shots over the summer. The clinic will also have a vaccine clinic available for students. Please bring your insurance card. (Medicaid students should instead make an appointment with the health department, 317-745-9222.)
Please do not hesitate to contact our clinic staff with any questions or concerns. They can be reached at (317) 852-2258 Ext. 1503 or by emailing relam@brownsburg.k12.in.us or mcarrel@brownsburg.k12.in.us
College Immunization Requirements
With a senior considering college, you should be checking your student's immunization records to make sure they are compliant with CDC recommendations and requirements. If you have any questions or concerns about your student’s immunization schedule for colleges, please call the clinic to have one of our nurses verify their immunization dates.
Here are a few in-state college immunization requirements to get you started.
