Week 15: Dec. 7 - 11
What We're Learning Now...
Math: We're learning to collect data; we're counting in a very real way, for a purpose. Working with data builds on our knowledge of counting, comparing and sorting.
Reading: We're learning to retell a main event in a story, ask and answer questions about text, segment spoken one syllable words into two or three phonemes (ex. the student knows that the word "cat" has three phonemes - /c/ /a/ and /t/).
Popcorn Words: play
Writing: We're identifying letters, words, and sentences; asking and answering questions to add more to our writing; identifying popcorn words in our writing.
Social Studies: We're learning about the different holidays that are celebrated during this time of year.
