He was born in 1970 in Ethiopia with his father Tsegie. his mother died in a turbuculous epidemic when he was three with his elder sister fanayta . there name was changed to Marcus and Linda. after becoming interested in cooking from his Sweden grandmother. he started doing more with food then by age 24 he became an executive chef of Aquavit,. he attending the Umea university school for restaurant and culinary.
