From the Principal
January is behind us and February is looking FANTASTIC! All of our students have been working very hard on their grade level material and they’re performing well on the Winter MAP assessments! As we Buckeyes know well, the weather can be a bit back and forth so please have your child(ren) dress in layers to be prepared for what Mother Nature brings us. We will not go outside unless the temperature is above 20 degrees. Each morning, we look at the wind chill factor as well. Please be sure to send your child to school with a coat, gloves, and hat each day. Also, be sure to label each item with your child’s name so that it can be returned to them if it is lost (THIS IS SO IMPORTANT).
This month will be filled with activities for learning about Valentine’s Day, Black History Month, and President’s Day. As you may expect, teachers love to learn too and professional development days always reinvigorate our teachers with fresh ideas and new ways to teach our students. On February 18th, our students get to stay home and have a day of rest while our teachers will be learning and collaborating with others all over the district. In addition, over the next few weeks, our teachers will be learning about new learning tools that will help to prepare our 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students for the Ohio State Tests that are administered during the month of April.
If you have not paid fees or made arrangements, your child will not receive a report card. We know that with the pandemic, many families have faced difficult financial setbacks and we want to work with you! Please call or stop by the main office to set up payment arrangements.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher, Mrs. Laravie, our counselor, or me. We can all be reached by email or phone. You are also welcome to meet with any of us, but we ask that you make an appointment so we can be sure to be available for you. Thank you for your continued support and for sharing your children with us each day.

From the Front Office
To report an absence or late arrival, please call the absence line at 937-429-7616 option 1, or send an email to fairbrookattendance@gocreek.org. Please include your child’s name, teacher, and reason for the absence or late arrival. Please bring in doctor/dentist notes from appointments within 5 school days.
When sending correspondence by email to teachers regarding absences, late arrivals, early dismissals, or changes in daily transportation, please include our office staff.
Please notify the office no later than 3:00pm with any last minute changes for afternoon dismissal, limiting changes to emergency situations or medical appointments.
If your student has been exposed to or tested positive for Covid-19, please follow the link below (also found on the Beavercreek website) to report.
Outside Recess
With cold weather here, please make sure your child is prepared to go outside at lunch recess. Our general guideline is that students will go outside when the temperature is at least 20 degrees or warmer with wind chill taken into account. Students are reminded to take what they need to wear outside prior to going to the Cafeteria as they cannot return after eating. Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately with coats, hats, gloves, etc.
