Falling Right into Place
As with any new year, changes can impact our routines. We are here to offer our support in helping you be successful this school year, even through challenges. To help ensure you find success this year, here are some tips and information to consider:
Communicate with your teacher(s)— ask questions, clarify the homework, and inform teachers of changes at home that may impact your day. Teachers are able to help you better when the lines of communication are kept open. Middle school is a great a time for students to take on the initiative of communicating their needs. Practice at home and parents, encourage your student to speak with his/her teacher. Communicating with others is a life skill and it is never too early to learn!
Parents, communicate with your student— remember to include your child in conversations about his/her school day, his/her homework, classes, extracurricular activities, and his/her friendships. He/she may have important insights to share with you! Let his/her voice be heard.
Utilize supports — email, schoology, zoom, the district website, and other links/platforms that support academic, personal/social, and career development. Ask us about any particular supports you may need, such as tutoring. We are all here to be a part of your support system!
