Grade 1 Field Trip (Thursday)
Message from Mr. Burns
It was great joining the other Clarksburg Cluster Schools on Friday evening at the Clarksburg High football game. All the schools paraded around the field prior to the game . I look forward to the future events gathering together our Clarksburg community:)
Over the next couple weeks, a few of our grade levels will begin to go on field trips. Thank you to the parents who are able to chaperone the field trips. Please see the information below for the requirements for all chaperones.
Finally, we look forward to our Wildcat Fun Run on Friday! We hope you can come out and cheer on our Wildcats:)

Holiday Giving Project
The Holiday Giving Project has provided Thanksgiving and December holiday assistance to low-income households for over 30 years. A network of social workers, school counselors, and human service professionals refer families in need of assistance. Local non-profits, faith-based organizations, and public agencies serve Holiday Giving recipients, as donations are available.
If you and your family are in need and would like to be referred for possible assistance for the holiday season, please complete this referral form to provide the required information. This information will be sent directly to our School Counselor, Mrs. Ioli, who will then enter it into the Holiday Giving Database on your behalf. While a referral is not a guarantee of assistance, the Project helps as many families in need as donations allow. Please complete this form no later than TUESDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2023. If you have any questions, please contact our School Counselor, Lauren Ioli at Lauren_A_Ioli@mcpsmd.org.

From the PTA Board
Dear Wildcats,
It’s certainly starting to feel like fall. Thank you to all who came out on a beautiful evening to support our first cluster night on Friday! This is a tradition that our school cluster hopes to continue and grow. We had a great time representing Wims behind our school banner before the Clarksburg football team took on Damascus in Coyote Canyon.
It’s Fun Run Week!
This is our last week to try to reach our fundraising goal of $25,000. Can we do it? Congratulations to our week 2 winners: Mrs. Wendland’s class (K), Mrs. Curry (1st), Mrs. Benco (2nd), Mrs. Hobelmann (3rd), Mrs. Oakes (4th), and Mr. Walker (5th). And congratulations again to our 5th grade class for the highest combined donations in week 2!
We have ONE WEEK LEFT and ONE MORE CHANCE to win an incentive. We are only halfway to our goal and we need your help! Please visit www.mybooster.com today - it’s not too late to register your Wildcat and share their page to your family & friends! They can sponsor your child with a “per lap” or a flat donation to help their school offer another year of fun and educational events.
The Fun Run takes place this Friday, October 20 at 9:30 AM. See below for the full schedule for the day. We hope you can join us to cheer on our Wildcats!
Volunteers are still needed! There are a few areas with no volunteer support, specifically on the green track for Grade 3 and Kindergarten/ PEP. You will have a great view of the Fun Run while volunteering, so please help out if you can! https://bit.ly/FunRun2324
Have a wonderful Wildcat week and we’ll see you on Friday!
