Celebration of Graduates: New Information - Read ME

Fees and Fines
Please return your items on-time. Please be aware that all CCSD fines, fees, and unpaid balances must be paid prior to the Celebration of Graduates. Some of you have unpaid balances from middle school - check your PowerSchool accounts. Students with unpaid balances, will not be allowed to participate (which would be the saddest thing ever). If you need financial support, please see Mrs. Denney or another staff member.

Mandatory Practice

All students who plan to participate in the Celebration of Graduates MUST participate in practice. The time of the practice has changed to 12:00-2:00 on Thursday, June 17.

12 Guests Per Graduate

Great news - the number of guests per graduate has increased to 12! All twelve must arrive together and enter the stadium with the graduate. Family groups will be seated in the same "pod" with 6ft spacing between each family group. Masks must be work by all guests while entering exiting and can be removed once guests are seated.

Live Streaming

ECHS will be live streaming our 2021 Graduation Ceremony scheduled for June 18, 2021, at 9:00 AM. A link for the live stream will be posted on our school's website 24 hours before the ceremony is to take place. Ceremonies will be live-streamed through YouTube to accommodate families who may not have access to social media platforms.

Dress Code

Please be sure to read the information about the dress code for the celebration of graduates. Students who are not in the dress code will not be able to participate in the celebration ceremony.

Attendance Notifications

Families, as you already know, ECHS is operating a unique calendar that is different from the rest of CCSD.

Each of our calendar days is equivalent to a day on the CCSD calendar. You can find a list of dates 2020-21 on this crosswalk document. For example, our first day of school was August 18, 2020, but the district's first day of school was September 8, 2020, so the attendance that we recorded on August 18 will be reflected in PowerSchool on September 8. Friday, November 13, 2020, is our 59th day of school and will be recorded in PowerSchool as December 4, 2020.

The Board voted to adjust the CCSD calendar to make May 17 e-Learning days at home for all students.

Students will not report to campus on these days. All high school classes will be assigned asynchronous work to document attendance. Students enrolled in TTC classes SHOULD still tune into their TTC classes if the class has a synchronous meeting time on any of those days.

Technology Help

Please refer to our Technology Help page for some more information about various scenarios and how to get help for each.

Family Support Hotline

A Family Support Line has been established to provide a resource for students or parents that need additional support during this extended schools closure. This hotline is to assist families in connecting to resources which could be school counselors, parent advocates, DMH services, social workers, etc.

CCSD employees from the Departments of Alternative Programs, Counseling Services, and Intervention & Psychological Services will answer calls Monday – Friday from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm. The Family Support Hotline number is 843-937-7907.
