For INCOMING Reed 6th graders:
Hello and welcome, incoming Reed Academy 6th graders for the 2022-2023 school year!
My name is Jake Viele, and I am the head Cross Country coach here at Reed Academy.
I'm very excited to announce that this upcoming fall 2022 Cross Country season marks the very first season in which 6th graders will be able to participate and compete as Cross Country runners.
My hope is that your child will join us at our Cross Country camp this summer, July 25th-29th, 9-11 am, at Reed Academy.
Physicals will need to be completed and submitted to Coach Viele by/at the first morning of the camp. Contact Coach Viele if you are in need of this paperwork (contact listed below).
I hope to see many incoming 6th graders on July 25th!
Please email me with any questions you have regarding the upcoming fall 2022 Cross Country season: jdviele@spsmail.org
Thank you, and we'll see you soon!

From the Nurse:
For families that have any medications in the nurse’s office for their children (daily meds, OTC meds, inhalers, epi pens, etc.) please pick them up by a RESPONSIBLE ADULT ONLY no later than 3:30pm on the last day of school or THEY WILL BE DISCARDED! Picking them up before your child is dismissed is greatly appreciated.
If your child is signed up to attend Explore at Watkins and will be taking medications from the nurse this summer a different set of forms need to be signed PRIOR to May 25th at 3:30pm. You may sign the form and leave medications for Explore if you desire.
The Explore Nurse (Nurse Kathy from Williams Elementary) will be on campus at Watkins to take medications and answer any questions for you on Friday June 3rd as well.
It has been a GREAT year!! Be safe outside, use the buddy system. Wear your helmets when riding your bike. Be safe near the swimming pools, lakes and rivers. Wear sun protection and a life jacket! Most IMPORTANTLY…. Have lots of FUN!!!
Nurse Patti will see you all in August 😊
