Threats & Solutions
It's biggest threat is poachers, which kill The Amur Leopard for it's beautiful fur. There were over 16,000 leopards killed in the 1900's alone! The prey is also being killed by poachers so food that is hard to find. In 1999 undercover investigators went to find poachers, but they found fur bring sold for $500-$1,000. Yikes! To try to make The Amur Leopard not extincted they try to take them into captivity and breed them. I think that everyone should increase security around the Amur Leopard habitat and make other people aware of how dangerous we are to losing the Amur Leopard. I can do that. I can make other people aware. The bible says that we should take care of animals. Just because God says humans are above animals does NOT mean this is okay. We should help the Amur Leopard in every way we can.
