DO YOU LOVE SCIENCE?
JSMS is starting a Science Olympiad team! Science Olympiad is a team competition in which students compete in multiple 'events' in earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, computers and technology. These 'events' follow the format of popular board games, TV shows, and athletic games; some events require knowledge of scientific facts and concepts, while others rely on science processes, skills or applications.
For more details, visit https://www.soinc.org/students.
Try-outs for the 2017-18 JSMS Science Olympiad Warriors Team will be held next week in Ms. Crowe’s classroom (Room 323)! Science Olympiad practice will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00-5:00 starting after Fall Break. Any student who is interested in trying out for the team must let their first period teacher know, and must stay after on either Tuesday 10/10/17 OR Thursday 10/12/17 from 3:00-5:00 (We can work around Sevier on Stage Practice or other schedule conflicts for try-outs, if necessary).
