Heights Happenings

Eastern Heights Elementary School, May/June 2023

Dear Eastern Heights Elementary Families,

It's hard to believe that we are already in the final weeks of school! Thank you, families, for such a wonderful and productive school year. I can’t acknowledge everyone enough for their flexibility and support to our students and staff during this whirl-wind school year.

Next week, May 8- 12, is "Staff Appreciation Week." I hope you'll join me in recognizing the incredible team of educators and support staff that make up the Elyria Schools.

Please check the district’s website at https://www.elyriaschools.org/ for the latest information on what’s going on throughout the district. Elyria Public Library at https://www.elyrialibrary.org/ is a great resource for summer program information and other family programming information. Don’t forget to check the City of Elyria’s website at https://www.cityofelyria.org/department/parks-and-recreation/ for summer camp opportunities and community pool schedules.

There is lots of information below in this newsletter, and I hope you take the time to read through it. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out, because remember we are all in this together.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and devotion to our schools.

Your Partner in Education,

Mrs. Jessica C. Barwacz
