MAIN OFFICE REMINDER
If your child needs to dismiss early, please send a note to the Main Office or e-mail your child's teacher AND evoffice@ojrsd.net. Sometimes dismissal is delayed when the Main Office is unaware of dismissal plan changes since teachers sometimes do not have a chance to check their e-mail during the school day.

STAFF SPOTLIGHT
HEALTH AND PE TEACHER, MRS. MEYERS
My name is Abby Meyers and this is my 11th year teaching in the Owen J. Roberts School District. I am a part of the fantastic elementary health and physical education department! I am a traveling teacher and this year I split my time between four of the elementary schools, including East Vincent. I love getting to meet so many of the wonderful students and staff members in the district.
I live in East Coventry with my husband Mark (who is also a health and physical education teacher) and our two children. Harper is four and Clayton is 20 months. They keep us very busy! I am an avid runner and love sharing my passion for fitness with my students. I also very much enjoy down time with my family and friends and frequently spend time at Rehoboth Beach in the summer and off season.
LIBRARY MEDIA SPECIALIST, MRS. RIGGS
My name is Michelle Riggs, and this is my 23rd year teaching in OJRSD! I spent 10 years teaching 8th grade Language Arts as Miss Lemke and 1 year as Mrs. Riggs the librarian at the Middle School, 9 years as librarian at West Vincent, and then in 2017, I requested a move to East Vincent, where I plan to stay! I graduated from Elizabethtown College in 1997, and my Master's degree is from Villanova University. I LOVE to take classes and expand my knowledge, so I've earned almost 70 additional credits from various universities around the country. My husband, Steve, is my best friend, and we have two sons, Luke (age 10) and Dylan (almost 9). We also have a 2-year-old Dutch shepherd mutt named Malcolm. (He drives me bonkers.) As a family, we love to spend time outside, travel near and far, read, watch movies, and just hang out together. I am constantly telling my students stories about our family mishaps and adventures! I love being at East Vincent with all my heart, and I feel I have truly found my "home" here.
FIRST LEGO LEAGUE
On Saturday, December 14, the East Vincent First Lego League teams competed at Hatboro-Horsham High School. First Lego League participants complete a research project, build and program a robot, and practice core values.
Congratulations to the Future Shapers (Lizzy Abate, Sophia Damasceno, Brody Fletcher, Justin Handler, Dylan Klotz, Sneha Srinivasan, Tyler Rodriguez, Cooper Rudy, and Ethan Townsley), who were awarded with the Judges Award! The Judges Award is awarded to teams "whose unique efforts, performance, or dynamics merit recognition."
The World Workers (Ben Blackledge, Jon Bui, Caroline Flogaus, Brooks Grant, Sarina Smith, Cecelia Trainer, Aidan Tripp, and Clara Wilson) were also very impressive during the tournament, scoring 190 points on their robot mission!
Congratulations to both teams!
PHILADELPHIA'S THANKGIVING DAY PARADE DANCERS
EV fourth grade student, Salma, and her dance team participated in Philadelphia’s 100th anniversary Thanksgiving parade. The dancers did an amazing job! It was really an honor to participate, too.

WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA
Gabe, Julia, and Colin participated in Wreaths Across America on Saturday at the Revolutionary War Cemetery on Ellis Woods Rd., where they laid wreaths on the unmarked graves of fallen soldiers and honored current and veteran service members of the community.
