What is DVAM?
Domestic Violence Awareness Month includes a schedule of events designed to inform the public and spark conversation about domestic violence.

Monday, October 15th: Domestic Violence 101- JJ
One of our interns, JJ, will be speaking on UNC's campus about Domestic Violence 101 as a part of Male Ally Week. Join us to learn the basics about domestic violence, including the cycle of abuse and how to tell if someone is in an unhealthy relationship.
Tuesday, October 16th: Jackson Katz @ UNC
Renowned author Jackson Katz will be speaking on UNC's campus as part of Male Ally Week. Katz is the author of multiple books on the subject of gendered violence and integrating men into the campaign against domestic violence.
Tuesday, October 23rd from 6-8pm: Domestic Violence 101 @ Orange County Public Library in Hillsborough
Join us to learn the basics about domestic violence, including the cycle of abuse and how to tell if someone is in an unhealthy relationship.
Wednesday, October 24th at 6pm: "Talking to Kids" @ UNC
Join us to learn strategies for talking to children about healthy relationships, as well as for an inside look at the healthy relationship programming available for children in Orange Country public schools.
