The ROCORI Way
The ROCORI Way
As a school we are embarking on a process to help define and teach the behaviors we hope to see out of students in each area of our building. As we work to refine what the “ROCORI Way” looks like specifically, we also are acknowledging those students that are Respectful, Responsible and Kind. Some of our students have been nominated by staff for exemplifying these areas of the ROCORI way, and if your student was one of them, we want to acknowledge that. Emails will be coming to those students’ guardians who were nominated, all nominated students will receive a certificate, and a few of them will be drawn for a prize. We want to acknowledge and celebrate our ROCORI students who demonstrate Respectfulness, Responsibility and Kindness.

Helping Families Access the Child Tax Credit by November 15!
Families with no income or low income could get at least $3,600 per child with the Child Tax Credit, plus $1,400 with the third stimulus payment - even if they have never filed taxes before and if they have not filed taxes this year. It is estimated that more than 33,000 children in Minnesota could miss out on this money if their parent/guardian has not filed.
A tool was created in partnership with the White House and the US Department of Treasury for families to file on their mobile devices in 15 minutes or less at: www.getctc.org
Attached is the English language informational flyer. Flyers are available in multiple languages at: https://childtaxcreditoutreach.org/

FINANCIAL AID NIGHT
We will be hosting our FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Completion Event on Wednesday, November 2nd from 5:00pm-7:00pm. This is an opportunity to complete the FAFSA with support from School Counselors and Financial Aide Counselors from the College of St. Benedict/St. John's University. Space will be limited, and registration is requested to attend. Those interested should register by emailing or calling Roz in the Guidance Office firstname.lastname@example.org / 320-685-4916.
While our FAFSA Completion Event is a great opportunity to receive help and support to complete the FAFSA, the FAFSA can be completed by most families without much assistance. If you do need help when completing the FAFSA, the colleges/universities your student may attend are also a helpful resource in answering questions and providing support. Below we have provided some direction and resources that may be helpful to you in completing this process on your own.
