Principal's Message
Dear Bethany Families,
It was another special day of honoring one of our Bethany Students for Microtia Awareness Day. There was a sea of baby blue throughout the school! We even had a classmate send a picture from the airport this morning with him dressed in baby blue in support of Lilly. I got to have my picture taken with her too! Thank you all for creating such a loving and supportive Bethany community.❤️
I hope to see you tonight at the PTO Meeting!

Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day
On Wednesday, November 16th, Bethany will be participating in the Ruby Bridges Walk for Justice, along with many other schools in the District. All students will be learning about Ruby Bridges in an age-appropriate way next week before the event.
I hope all families can join us at CIRCLE PARK before school.
At 7:30 am we will walk to school together in honor of Ruby's bravery for justice and change.
Please see the map below for the route

World Kindness Day
Monday, November 14th is WORLD KINDNESS DAY! In honor of this day, wear any clothing with signs or symbols of love and kindness. If your child doesn't have anything like this, don't worry! We have stickers with kindness quotes for them to wear. ❤️ Click below for more information.
Thank You Roadside Clean-up Crew
Parking Lot Reminders
As the weather turns cold and rainy, we want to remind you of a few important things:
- Please drive slowly when dropping off and picking up students. We are having cars drive fast out of the parking lot. Please be watching for young children who may enter the road.
- We encourage all parents to go through the Pick-up line. We are working on making sure there are two lines, both lines will turn for K-2nd grades. This helps keep traffic off of 174th.
- If you do park to pick up your child, we ask that you stay and wait for traffic behind you to clear. We are having cars that are trying to back up and leave, while cars are still coming in.
Hand Sanitizer Donations
During the last few years the District was providing hand sanitizer for schools. That plan has now stopped and we need to provide our own bottles.
We could use your help. If you are willing to donate a bottle or two (foam preferred), you can bring it to the office.
Thank you for your help.
Immunization Exclusion Day
Dear Parents/Guardians:
Please note that Immunization Exclusion Day is FEBRUARY 15, 2023. Your child's immunizations must be up to date by this day. According to Oregon state law, no student will be allowed to attend school if immunizations have not been completed. All absences will be considered unexcused.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact AnnMarie McLeod at annmarie_mcleod@beaverton.k12.or.us
