Cardinal Connection
March 16, 2021
Hello Cardinal Families,
We are excited to announce Lake County is now in the Red Tier. This means that Clear Lake High School can begin our Hybrid Learning model. Students in Group A will be welcomed back to campus on Monday, March 22 and students in Group B will be welcomed back on Thursday, March 25.
Group A attends in-person learning on Mondays and Tuesdays, while Group B and distance learners attend Zoom classes, via Clever. Group B attends in-person on Thursdays and Fridays, while Group A and distance learners attend Zoom classes, via Clever.
Students have been emailed their assigned group.
Students will need to bring their Chromebooks to school everyday.
If your CLHS student does not have a school issued device, please stop by the Learning Resource Center (next to the MAC) to check one out.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, students that plan to ride the bus to school and/or travel in the school vans to athletic events will need to submit a district transportation agreement. This form is available on our website, at the school office, and will be passed out to students from their teachers and coaches. You may also print the form yourself, by clicking HERE. Please read, sign, and return the form by emailing it to rmather@lakeport.k12.ca.us or dropping it off in our secure drop box located outside the office doors. Student Athletes may return the form to their coaches.
Safety Reminders -
All students will have their temperature taken before they can attend class.
Masks are required at all times.
Adhere to 6ft Social Distancing from others.
Halls in the quad will be one way traffic only.
Students must wait for the entire class to exit a room before entering for the next class period.
Sorry, no visitors allowed on campus.
Parent Reminders -
Students that chose the Hybrid Learning option are expected to be at school on their in-person learning days.
Please do not send your child to school if they are experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19.
If your child is staying home due to COVID-19 related symptoms and feels well enough, they should attend their Zoom classes. Please call our office to let us know not to expect them on campus that day.
If you child is unable to attend in-person and/or Zoom classes, please call the attendance secretary, Racheal Frediani at 707-262-3010 or email: clhsatt@lakeport.k12.ca.us
If your child comes to school and is sent home sick, please be prepared to pick your child up within 30 minutes. If you are unable to be here in 30 minutes, please prepare an alternate plan. Please be sure the person you would like to pick up your child is listed as a contact in Aeries.
Parents/Guardians can update their contacts in Aeries by emailing Rick Mather from the same email address used for the Aeries parent portal or submit additions/changes in writing to our office.
We look forward to seeing our students back on campus!
