6th grade 116 of 198 students= 58.5%

8th grade 102 of 197 students= 51.8%

Total of 455 students come out to conferences. School wide we averaged 56.7%. Our goal was to have 80% attendance but I am very please with our turn out and the conversations I heard our students having with parents.

Parent information night regarding Health for 8th grade families

Tony West is a representative from Quest which is a resource we will be using in our Health classes. Tony will be out on January 14th from 6:30-7:30 in order to talk about our Quest curriculum for 8th grade Health. We wanted to host a night to provide some information regarding our new Reproductive Health Curriculum. Since this is a new curriculum and some of the topics are presented in a little more detail than they have in the past, we wanted you to hear about the information prior to us delivery this information to your child.

Understandably, some parents may opt out of having their child be present with this information and we understand and respect your decision. We do believe that this is valuable information that we need to teach within our health unit for 8th grades. More information will be provided if you opt out of your child being apart of the conversation around reproductive health.
