Roselawn Family Update
March 31, 2020
Good Morning Roselawn Families;
I hope all of our Roselawn families had a great weekend and a good start to their week. Monday we rolled out a good portion of online material for grades 3 through 5. Packets for grade levels kindergarten through 2nd grade should have arrived by now as well.
I want to use this early week update to help answer a couple of questions that came our way today.
1) What should families in grades 3 through 5 do if they still have technology needs?
- The district office is currently going through the results and working hard to try and meet all families' needs in grades 3 through 12. Somebody from the district will be in touch with families that have expressed need some time this week.
- Email the classroom teacher if you didn't get a packet and we will find a way to get a packet emailed to you.
3) If my child is in 3rd through 5th grade and they are having issues accessing their Google Classroom, how do I get help?
- You can email the classroom teacher first, and then feel free to text 715-496-2522 or call the main office at Roselawn 715-924-2244.
4) How many times should I expect to hear from my classroom teacher?
- Classroom teachers will be in touch at least 3 times per week with students in their classrooms. This can be a combination of email, phone calls, Google hangouts or other platform connections. One of our goals as a school is to maintain connections and consistency during this school closure, therefore we plan to be in touch as much as possible.
5) What would you recommend for a daily schedule for my son or daughter?
- The best schedule is the one that works for your family. During this time we understand there are a lot of stresses that are impacting families. Remember, "Do What You Can, When you Can, the Best you Can" is a good goal for each day.
- This is a great resource from PBIS for families to help develop that daily schedule.
- On the Roselawn Landing page, you will find a printable schedule for families and we will include a couple of copies in the mailing for April 8th.
These were just some of the popular questions that have come up during the first couple of days since instruction materials have been out there. If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to text 715-496-2522 or call the front office.
We thank you for your patience as we adapt to this new normal, and work hard to meet our students' needs!
