Please Share With Your Families: Action Item
The Kids Kloset sells second-hand warm, winter-weight clothing for children from infancy through teens at a very low cost (free if needed), October through May. They are open during the hours of the Oak Park Food Pantry — first and third Saturdays, 9-11:30, and second, third and fourth Wednesdays, 3:30-5. The Kids' Kloset is housed at First United Church, 848 Lake St. If families are unable to go during these hours, please email our school social worker Maria Pascarella (mpascarella@op97.org) to make alternate arrangements.
Despite the recent agreement to end the government shutdown, affected families who have not receive regular paychecks or financial benefits may be eligible for additional resources at the Oak Park Food Pantry during this time.

THE STORY
A Principal's Perspective
When a fight occurs at a school basketball game, racial tensions run high and spill into the community. In its wake, Ann Dealy’s stance ensures that institutions respond to the needs of each and every student, particularly students of color. Using her privilege, voice, and position as a school principal, Dealy demonstrates what it looks like to hear, see, and respect students.
