2022-2023 Transportation Planning Information - Karen Conner, Operations Manager
Transportation planning for 2022-23 has begun. Eagle Ridge Academy is happy to announce there will be no increase in transportation fees for the 2022-23 school year. In order to build the best routes, formally communicate the routes, receive feedback from families, and finalize the published routes, we need your timely participation.
The Academy offers a hub transportation system with centrally located stops within communities and does not guarantee a stop within walking distance of your residence. If you wish to be included in the routing for the 2022-23 school year and are not currently using Academy provided transportation, please complete a Change in Transportation form by April 15, 2022. We also ask that you complete the form if you wish to discontinue using Academy-provided transportation for the 2022-23 school year. If there will be no change to your transportation, no action is required.
The 2022-23 Transportation Contract will be available on the Academy’s website on June 1, 2022. Signed Transportation Contracts with full payment must be submitted by July 1, 2022. Once the completed contract is signed and the full payment is received, your child will be assigned a bus route. Please note: we are unable to guarantee transportation for your children if the transportation Contract and full payment are not received by July 1, 2022. Contracts and/or payments received after July 1 will be assessed a $50 per student late fee and students will be added to transportation as space allows.
For questions regarding transportation, please contact Karen Conner, Operations Manager, at kconner@eagleridgeacademy.org. Please see the following timeline for transportation for the 2022-23 school year.
EAGLE RIDGE ACADEMY TRANSPORTATION TIMELINE 2022-2023
MAY 15 - Building of initial routes. Initial routes will be built using data from students currently using Academy-provided bus service, data from Transportation Change Request Forms, and data from all new students who have requested transportation upon enrollment for the 2022-23 school year.
JUNE 1 - Initial routes will be published. Eagle Ridge Academy will host a Transportation Meeting at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, with school and transportation company managers to provide feedback regarding routes.
JULY 1 - All families, new and returning, including those who used Academy-provided transportation for the 2021-22 school year must complete a
2022-23 Transportation Contract and pay in full to guarantee transportation for the first day of school.
Transportation Contracts from the 2021-22 school year will not carry over to the 2022-23 school year. Contracts and payments received after July 1, 2022 will be assessed a $50 per student late fee and transportation will not be guaranteed for the first day of school. Contracts received without payment will not confirm transportation and bus placements
will not be reserved.
AUGUST 1 - Final routes will be published based on contracts received by July 1, 2022. Additional changes to routes will be made only for safety concerns, not for convenience in location. The Academy reserves the right to make changes to routes that might affect the timing or location of bus stops.

Congratulations to our Fall 2021 Olympus Club Members! - Romelle P., Schools of Logic & Rhetoric Assistant Principal
Dear Schools of Logic & Rhetoric Families,
On behalf of Principal Erin Johnson and myself, we would like to congratulate the students listed below for being admitted into the Fall 2021-22 Olympus Club.
Admittance into the Olympus Club appropriately reflects the endless hours these students have spent securing a 2021-22 first semester grade point average of a 3.33 or above, along with embodying the CIPHER pillars on a daily basis. Olympus Club recognition is more than an honor roll, it also acknowledges students who display The Gryphon Way through a commitment toward attendance (fewer than 3 tardies all semester) and behavior (fewer than 3 pillar referrals, no detentions or infractions).
Our scholars have been recognized in grade-level assemblies and presented with a certificate suitable for framing. They are permitted to wear spirit wear during the three days of finals.
Congratulations!
Romelle Pornschloegl (Mrs.P)
PSEO Registration & Sophomore College Search Bootcamp - Mary Johnson, College and Academic Advisor
Dear School of Rhetoric Families,
Juniors: Register for the ACT
Eagle Ridge Academy will be offering the ACT with Writing to juniors only during the school day on April 19. In the past, the Department of Education has reimbursed schools for the cost of administering the test during the school day. New legislation has eliminated this funding except for students receiving educational benefits. It is our desire that all students continue to take the exam. To make this opportunity accessible to families, Eagle Ridge Academy will be covering half of the cost of the test and additional administration fees incurred. The cost to families will be $44. Note: If your child receives free and reduced lunch benefits, the exam is offered free of charge. Registration and payment are due on Tuesday, April 12. Please use this link to register for the exam. Please email Mary Johnson at majohnson@eagleridgeacademy.org with questions.
