Volume 2, Issue 25 - February 8, 2019
We are so thankful we get to enjoy the partnership of our parents through our PTSA. With your help and support we get to improve our building with projects like the addition of the sound system to the gym, or to provide services like opening the concession stand for all home games. We also assist teachers in their classrooms, celebrate students and staff throughout the year and utilize this financial support for our 6th, 7th and 8th grade end-of the year celebrations.
Next school year we will have two positions open in our PTSA, President and Vice President. I would like you to consider volunteering for these positions, as they are of vital importance to us. If you are interested, or want to learn more, feel free to reach out to our current President, Mandy Llewellyn (mandyllew@aol.com) or to Gentry's administration.
Also, don't forget our Krispy Kreme fundraiser is due soon and we count on those funds for many activities for students! Please, see info below!
Krispy Kreme Fundraiser
It is not too late to have your student make some final Krispy Kreme donut sales or collect some last minute donations this weekend! Fresh donuts will arrive at Gentry on Saturday, February 23 between 8:30-11:00 am. Money raised from donut sales will benefit our school in a variety of ways. Thank you for your gracious support!!

Columbia Fund for Academic Excellence Award
Since its inception in the 1979-80 school year, the Columbia Fund for Academic Excellence has served to recognize more than 250 educators in the Columbia Public School District. Each year, educators are selected from nominations submitted by parents and peers as outstanding educators.
