Fall Fundraiser

Hello Warwick Bears!! We are overwhelmed and humbled by the outpouring of resolve, resilience, and support for our children at Warwick Elementary while we have all been faced with radically altered lives over the past two years.

We are grateful for all the ways parents have stepped up to provide meaningful programs, teacher support, and community building. Now we are asking for your financial support, too. The primary PTO fundraiser this year is our Check Writing Campaign. The Warwick PTO, teachers, and our young students need your support more than ever because the needs today are perhaps greater than they were during “normal” times. We are committed to supporting Warwick teachers and staff to help them provide optimal experiences for our children in the classroom.

We have not actively fundraised since November 2019 and we have stretched our budget as far as we can to while avoiding individual fundraisers (any type of THON, selling candles, selling wrapping paper, selling cookies, etc.).Traditionally, we only fundraise every two years and we would like to keep that going! The Warwick PTO provides assemblies, author visits, class trips, teacher allocations, field day support, KISS Events (Kids Invite Someone Special), school improvement projects, hospitality for teacher luncheons, etc.

Your support enables us to continue to fund these important projects and add new ones every year!

Monday, October 31st: Halloween Parade and Parties at Warwick; Half Day - Warwick is a "C" school we dismiss at 12:25PM on half days.

From the Desk of Mrs. Adelman

Hello, Warwick Bears!

We are looking forward to celebrating Halloween on Monday, October 31st at Warwick. Homeroom parents will work with the respective classroom teachers and will be reaching out to organize parties, food donations, etc.

Our Halloween Parade will be promptly at 9:30am. The Halloween Parade is weather dependent. If inclement weather occurs on the morning of the 31st, we will hold a parade inside for students and staff.

We ask that visitors please park at Saint Cyrils (located across the street from Warwick) for the parade. The students will parade through the main parking lot.

Just a friendly reminder that all Halloween costumes should be school appropriate (any costume weapons and/or scary makeup should be reserved for Halloween night at home). If you have any questions at costumes, please ask.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Amy Adelman

Congratulations to Mrs. Dero

Wedding bells were ringing this past weekend for one of our Warwick staff members! Miss Rachel Teter, a special education teacher, celebrated her Wedding on Sunday, October 2nd. She is now Mrs. Dero! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Dero!

Golden Spatula

Have you heard your child(ren) speaking about the Golden Spatula award at Warwick? The Golden Spatula is awarded to one homeroom class in each grade level at the end of each month, based on overall cafeteria behavior and demonstration of our Warwick Four Themes. At the end of the month a special announcement is made, and the awards are shared with the classrooms. The students in the awarded homerooms earn and ice pop party with Mrs. Adelman

Congratulations to the following homerooms for the September Golden Spatula Award!

First Grade: Mrs. Melvin's homeroom

Second Grade: Mrs. Jacob's Homeroom

Third Grade: Mrs. Jethon's Homeroom

Fourth Grade: Mrs. Dessalet's Homeroom

Fifth Grade: Mr. Cresswell's Homeroom
