College Doors: They look AMAZING! 65/69 advisory doors were decorated which well exceeded expectations! A few photos are below, and you can find the whole collection of photos here.
Clarifications on Modifications on IEPs: Modifications on IEPs are made by the general education teacher. When considering both the general curriculum and other educational needs, the Team will consider specific accommodations, modifications, and services to assist the student to reach their best educational performance. The Team considers whether it is necessary to adapt the content (change the complexity of information being taught). The Team also considers whether it is necessary to adapt the methodology or delivery of instruction (change in the way the information is taught) or the performance criteria of the classroom (change the way the student expresses what they have learned). All of the changes and services that the Team identifies are written in the IEP. The IEP then serves as a resource to assist the teacher in providing a supportive and effective classroom environment throughout the school year. Here is a good resource from a Parent Guide to IEPs from the Federation for Children with Special Needs that has a straight forward explanation of modifications: https://fcsn.org/parents_guide/pgenglish.pdf

Staff Shout-Outs
- Huge shout out to Paula Czarniecki and Tracey Pinkham for putting on a great night for open house in their rooms! They had stations set up for parents to visit and get involved in their children learning!
Collaboration and Engagement:
- Karen Tetrault and her students created a beautiful "welcome" banner that is now hanging in the art hallway!
Respect and Compassion:
- Shout out to Dayna Doolittle for how much care and support she is giving our 7th grade life skill student. Dayna has been coming in early, bringing in her own materials, and going above and beyond in every way to make sure this student feels welcome and cared for at HRHS.

- Shout out to Kelsy Chandler (grade 11) for her enthusiastic participation in advisory college door-decoration contest!
