Mustang Monday Message

Mustang Family,

I hope each of you had a lovely holiday season!

As we roll into 2023, we find ourselves halfway through the school year. I am afraid the rest of the school year will fly.

As we return to school, safety is one of the issues on my mind. Safely releasing over 700 students after school is a challenging task that requires all of us to work collaboratively together. Therefore, it is critical that all students use the Safe Walking Routes, sidewalks, and crosswalks, and it is very helpful when parents follow the school's plan to pick up the students. We know these plans sometimes require patience and sometimes an extra minute or two, but for the safety of all 700 students, it is worth it! Parents, please, please do not park in non-designated areas. It is dangerous and keeps the flow of traffic from happening. When everyone follows the plan, we have found that we can get all students picked up within 8 minutes of the bell ringing. We also ask that if you do not have a handicapped parking permit, please do not park in the handicapped parking spots. It is frustrating for our patrons who need these spots to find them utilized by those that do not need them. As always, if you have suggestions as to how to make our plan better, please reach out to me or our PTA. If you need to figure out what our safe-walking routes are or what the parent pick-up plan is, please review them here.

Working together, we can make 2023 an incredible year! Thanks for all your support.

Familia Mustang,
