Quarter Two
Fall Benchmark Info
Students were required to apply scientific ideas to critical thinking style questions. These questions are challenging and three-dimensional. This means that students have to study information or images and apply their knowledge to answer the question.
I have added their scores (% of correct answers) into skyward. These scores DO NOT count towards their grade. This just allows us to measure where they are and helps me determine what I need to do to help get them where I want them to be.
According to the state's levels of understanding range, a student performing on grade level should answer at least 57% of the questions right. This helps us determine where they are in their learning.
Several students achieved grade level understanding and/or met their goal. Others were just a question or two away.
Remember, this is just where they are now and we will use this data to determine what we need to work on. I am very proud of them and together we will continue to work towards our goals.
Medical Mystery
Our first two standards deal with how biological organisms are structured while taking a closer look at our cells and parts of cells.
