Elm Street Earns School Bell Award at GAESP Conference in Savannah!
Earlier this week, Dr. Hildebrand attended the GAESP Conference in Savannah, Georgia to accept a 2014 School Bell Award on behalf of Elm Street Elementary. The Georgia Association of Elementary School Principals (GAESP) presents this award each year for outstanding programs in the areas of curriculum and organizational leadership. Elm Street was one of no more than ten schools statewide earning the award this year. Dr. Hildebrand was proud to accept this award for our school in recognition of our Start on Track Program. GAESP found our Start on Track Program to be an innovative and exemplary program brining benefits to our students. As you know, our Start on Track program offers students an opportunity to show their commitment to health and fitness and wake up their bodies and minds by choosing to begin their day outside walking on the track. Students may head out to the track each morning upon arrival on their designated grade level days. Start on Track operates until 7:40 a.m. each morning. Thanks to Ms. Merritt, Ms. Varischetti, and the team of staff members who make this possible each morning for our school. Congratulations on another state award! Way to go, Elm Street!
