The Bear and the Fox
A short fable on being nice
The bear and the fox
One day, a bear was out in the woods, when he saw a fox in a trap. The bear, who was old and gentle, freed the fox. The fox was so grateful, and promised to one day help him. The bear, feeling very proud that he had helped the fox, went on his way to catch some fish.
A year later the bear was wandering around the forest when out sprung a hunter form the bushes! The bear, to old to run, was trapped. Suddenly, a red blur came out of the trees surrounding the bear and bit the hunters leg! The fox had saved him, and he was able to get away. The moral of the story is that, if you're nice to someone they'll be nice to you back.
