The Nike name comes from the Greek goddess of victory and every athlete wants to be a victorious person and always win.Nike was originally found in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports and officially became Nike Inc. in 1971.The "Just Do It" campaign was first launched in 1988, and is now enshrined at the Smithsonian national museum.
It was a soccer cleat. This was the first piece of footwear to have "Nike" attached to it.
The Air Jordan 1 was the first sneaker in the Air Jordan 1 line, but it wasn't the first sneaker Jordan wore in the NBA.
The Nike “swoosh” was designed by Portland State University student Carolyn Davidson, for just $35 (just over $200 in today's currency). Nike produces around 50,000 product styles a year and sells in 160 countries.Nike's operations contribute to 1.36 million tonnes of CO2 each year.
