JOSIE'S ASSESSMENTS
Breakdown of Learning Assessments
Key Assessments
#2. ENGINEERING EFFECTIVE CLASSROOM DISCUSSIONS, TASKS AND ACTIVITIES THAT ELICIT EVIDENCE OF LEARNING... this is an excellent strategy that teachers should implore, because it gets the students actively involved;
#3. PROVIDING FEEDBACK THAT MOVES LEARNERS FORWARD... for this, I will say, teachers should not be "downers" in their feedback. They should give feedback that encourages and motivates the student;
#4. ACTIVATING STUDENTS AS LEARNING RESOURCES FOR ONE ANOTHER... I think this one will entail collaboration among the students;
#5. ACTIVATING STUDENTS AS OWNERS OF THEIR OWN LEARNING... this way students will take more responsibilities for their actions in and out of class, as it relates to their learning. There will be no blame shifting should things not go too well as they anticipate.
Lastly, the C3B4ME Strategy encourages students to collaborate by checking in with at least three other students before asking the teacher about something.
These strategies will help to nurture the educational system, as indicated by Sir Ken Robinson.
