The Last Week of School Important things to remember

With next week being the last week of school, there is a lot going on. Each day we will be doing a fun activity. On Monday, we will be making kites. Tuesday will be a PJ day and reading in the dark. Wednesday we will be having a game day, please do not send any electronic games or tablets. On Thursday we will be doing fun rotations with the rest of the 2nd grade teachers. Friday we will be having our end of the year video, and the all school talent show.

It is very important that each day the students bring their backpack. Each day I will be sending something home, so it does not call come home at once. Please empty out the backpack each evening so we can send something else home the next day. On Friday they do not need to bring a backpack.

Summer Birthdays

If your child has a summer birthday and you want to celebrate it at school please let me know when you are planning to bring treats. Please remember that the last week of school gets really crazy, so a few days notice would be appreciated.

Parent Satisfaction Survey

If you have a few minutes, please fill out the survey to tell us what you think about what is happening in the district. The second link is a mobile friendly version.

Summer Ideas

During the summer it is important to continue learning and practicing. Below I have created different links we have used during the school year for practice. I will not change my class until August, so feel free to continue to use them over the summer.

I Station

I-station is our new reading computer tool. It will be used next school year instead of Lexia. I have started some of the students on it at school, so they can see what it is like. I am sending home letters with those students so they can work on it at home as well. There are directions on the letter for signing up. It is important that you go through the steps as told in the letter, or you will not be able to work on it at home. If you have any questions I will try to answer them, but this is a new program to me as well.
