MONDAY - Understanding Digital Natives
PARENTS ONLY
Parents - join Mrs. R in the library from 5-6:30. Enjoy refreshments and discuss your concerns as well as ways to keep your child safe at school and home when they get their device for the school year.
Remember to: Limit screen time, keep kids in proximity while they are online or using devices, and be in the know about trends.
We have a wealth of resources to share - hope you can make it!
TUESDAY - SURFING FOR FUN
Safe Sites Online
Parents and students join us with or without devices from 5-6:30 on Tuesday night. This will be a night of exploring resources and safe, kid-centered sites. Also, learn to check for special settings within sites to insure a purely fun experience!
WEDNESDAY - Tips and Tricks for Staying Safe
Online Safety
During the specials block today, students will meet with Mrs. R. and the counselor to watch the video below (shown for parents to review, if they wish), and discuss the reality of threats online. Our discussion will include what personal information to keep to yourself and how to create smarter password for public sites.

THURSDAY - What is a cyberbully anyway?

Thursday we will have an assembly welcoming a former student and cyberbullying victim. Listen to her story and her tips for not falling into the pit of cyberbullying, either as a victim OR a bully. It is not as simple as you might think!
Friday - CYBER SAFETY CELEBRATION!
Friday Night Lights
Join us in the gym this Friday night from 5-7 for an activity fair. There will by sweet treats, cyber safety games, music, and prizes. Help us celebrate our week of learning and show what you have learned in our pop quiz trivia throughout the night.
