  • Welcome to 2016! It was a great day of Professional Learning and fellowship! We have THE VERY best staff in the world!
  • Our Broncos won BOTH games against Berkmar on Thursday! Way to go students and coaches! Our cheerleaders and their coaches rock, too!
  • The Bronco Store was a great success! We've got great kids...and did you see how many parent volunteers we had to help? What a great community!
  • The STEAM Committee had a wonderfully productive meeting discussing the upcoming planning for our STEAM Night on Feb. 11th! They are also hard at work building the STEAM foundation as we move into 16-17!
  • The Top 20 Advisement lesson on goal setting was fantastic! How awesome is it that we get to work with our students as they determine the steps that they will take to better themselves in 2016!
  • Mrs. Douthart met with our Local School Council and was able to share our continued successes! They are very impressed! Keep up the great work!
  • Thank you for all your help with District Assessments! Rachel Mickle, thank YOU for all of your organizing to help the process run smoothly for all.

Debbie (DJ) Jackson, our cafeteria manager, has many responsibilities. She provides breakfast and lunch for over 1000 students and staff daily at Five Forks. She wants to make sure no one goes hungry and everyone who walks into the cafeteria gets what they need. DJ and her staff work diligently to provide the best meals. She gets to school before the rooster crows working tirelessly to make sure the meals are prepared and ready for the day. Other responsibilities include; inventory, ordering food and supplies, helping/caring for her staff when they are sick or injured. DJ identifies students who have a medical condition, i.e., allergies, diabetes, etc. She knows who they are and will watch over them when they are in the cafeteria. She also provides food to students who come to the clinic sick from NOT eating.
DJ has a heart for her students and staff and has a warm and caring spirit when talking with them. Whether DJ is feeding our stomach or feeding our soul, she is making a difference in all of our lives at Five Forks Middle.

Just a few quick reminders regarding your eClass course pages--

  • You should be working in 2016S2 for your eClass Course pages. (NOT 2015)
  • The Homepage and Navbar from S1 should be copied over so that our template is the same for everyone.
  • Please don't move the CALENDAR, NEWS, or CONTENT widgets- those are to remain in the same place for everyone.
  • It is a good idea to place a STOP sign image in the News of the Semester 1 course page with a note indicating that students are in the wrong place. You can also copy the URL of your 2016S2 homepage and place a link to it in the News of your S1 homepage.

Did you know that Mrs. Brown has started a Blog? Check out what is happening in our very own FFMS Media Center!

The first armored presidential limo was used by President Franklin Roosevelt just as the United States was entering WW II. This particular Cadillac convertible originally belonged to the gangster Al Capone. It was seized in 1932 when Capone was charged with tax evasion
