Senior Edition: Class of 2014 Commencement Information
Congratulations on making it to the last semester of your Senior Year here at Vanderbilt University!
Commencement is near and there are many exciting things that you all have to look forward to. Throughout the rest of this semester I will be sending you information about sign ups for Senior Pictures, Black Graduation, etc. If your family has not already booked their hotels and transportation for Commencement Week now would be a great time to do that!
Below is all of the information from Professor Rosevelt Noble about Senior Class Pictures. Please read it carefully and start booking your Senior photo shoot times!
Happy New Year,
In conjunction with the Black Student Alliance, Complete Capture will begin holding senior class photo sessions for the class of 2014 in early January. If you are not familiar with these photo sessions, you can review the images from the classes of 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 through the following link:
Your session will contain similar images with a few added modifications. I try to add something new with each graduating class!
Scheduling an Appointment
We will hold a limited number of shooting days during the spring semester.
Shooting days before spring break:
Shooting days after spring break:
April 12th (Last Day)
The sessions on both days are from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. ALL SESSIONS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. YOU MUST EMAIL email@example.com TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT TIME. Each session is approximately 20 minutes. You will receive a follow-up email once your appointment is confirmed with more specific information.
Turn Around Time
The proofs from your senior class photo session will be posted online within 7-10 business days after your session.
The only cost that students pay up front is a $10.00 sitting fee. After your session you will have the opportunity to order prints of the images in your gallery. The four primary ways in which you may order images from your gallery are as follows:
Individual Digital Files
Digital Proofs CD
The senior photos are also used for the class composite that will appear inside the Black Cultural Center (BCC). With the sponsorship of the Association of Vanderbilt Black Alumni (AVBA) and the BCC, this is a new Vanderbilt tradition, in which the class composite will hang in the student lounge of the BCC forever! You can review an example of the class composites from 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 by clicking on the following links:
In the event that you would like to have your individual photos as well as pictures with your friends, it is possible to reserve a block of time for group sessions. In order to reserve a group session there must be a minimum of four individuals in your group. You must specifically request a group session at the time of scheduling your initial appointment.
Additionally, your senior photos maybe used to create custom photo graduation announcements. The link below will provide you with examples of previous styles of announcements. New templates will be added soon to provide additional style options.
