CLASS PLACEMENT
Many important factors such as student learning styles, abilities, needs, behaviors, and peer relations are carefully considered by our teachers as they place students in a classroom learning environment. All of our school specialists also give their valuable input to assist in creating balanced classes. However, if you have a unique concern regarding class placement, please write a letter/email describing the type of learning environment your child needs and submit it to the principal by the first Friday in May. Ultimately, our capable staff makes the final decisions so that all students benefit from well-balanced classes.

DRESS FOR THE WEATHER
All students are required to go outside for recess daily unless the windchill is below zero or it is raining. When the temperature is below 50 degrees students are required to wear jackets/coats. Please make sure your student is dressed properly for the cold weather with hats, gloves, scarves, boots and snow pants. Snow pants and boots are required to be worn in order for students to play in the snow. Classrooms stay together as a group on a designated area of the playground - if your child's classroom is assigned a grassy area, this makes snow pants and boots essential.
ABSENCE REPORTING
It is essential to note that student absences are now reported using THIS FORM. The Absence Reporting Form is also located as a button on the Pleasant View webpage and under the “Parents Information” section. This form will require you to enter your child’s six-digit student ID number and birthdate before you can report your child absent. The Absence Reporting Form should be used to report ANY attendance change including late arrivals, early departures, and pre planned absences for both in-person and virtual students.
