PTA Fundraiser Update

We have raised $7,200 for our fundraiser so far, that's 24% of our goal of $30,000. Donations counting towards classroom rewards will be collected through Oct. 5th. Please click here to be directed to the donation site.


How are your donations used? Everyone loves when the parachute comes out during gym class. The parachute had too much love so PTA funds bought a new parachute! Your generous donations also go towards student planners, folders, author visits, the science fair, classroom allocations, and so much more.

Forget to order pictures?

Picture day was on Thursday, September 22nd. If you forgot to order pictures you will have 48 hours to order pictures using this link. You will also receive a code for ordering when you receive your student's picture proofs in the next few weeks.

If your student was unable to have their picture taken there will be a retake day in late October.

Please complete the Online Data Verification for the 2022-2023 school year

If you haven't already done so, please make sure we have the most up-to-date information for your student in our system for the upcoming school year by completing the Online Data Verification in ParentVUE for each of your students before the first day of school on September 6th.

Incorrect or outdated information prevents us from being able to contact you with important information and inhibits our ability to reach you in case of illness or emergency.

Does someone in your family need a warm coat?

Coats and other winter clothing will be available free of charge for those in need at an upcoming coat drive. The drive will take place at Christ the King Lutheran Church (1900 7th St. NW, New Brighton) on Saturday, Oct. 15 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

The Mounds View Public Schools Curriculum Advisory Committee is seeking representatives to serve on the committee for the 2022-2023 school year. Committee members work in partnership with the district and community to gain knowledge and provide feedback about curriculum and other instructional issues.

New Payment System for Student Meal Accounts

The Nutrition Services Department is using a new system for meal accounts this school year called Titan Family Solutions, which has replaced PayPams. All existing account balances have been transferred to Titan automatically, but families need to create an account on the new platform in order to continue adding funds.

Student Data Privacy

Mounds View Public Schools provides access to free and subscription-based digital resources for beneficial services, such as providing high quality instructional resources and increasing efficiency in school operations.

Depending upon the particular educational technology being used, our district may need to collect different types of student data, which is then shared with educational technology vendors through their online sites, services and/or applications. Under Minnesota’s Student Data Privacy Act, educational technology vendors are prohibited from selling or renting a student's information or from engaging in targeted advertising using a student's information.

Mounds View Public Schools has partnered with LearnPlatform to inform staff, students and families about digital resources that have been evaluated by the District Instructional Leadership Team. If you have any questions or concerns about any digital resources used by your child, please contact your child’s teacher.


Non-Academic Personal Property:

Students should not bring personal items such as toys, card collections, or any similar items to school. These items may be misplaced or stolen and can be a disruption to learning. If a teacher wishes to have students bring such items to school for a special event, parents will be notified. We appreciate your support.

Did you reply ‘STOP’ to a text message?

Did we send you one-too-many text messages that caused you to reply ‘STOP,’ in frustration? If so, please know that replying ‘STOP’ to a single text message automatically unsubscribes you from receiving all future text messages from any school or District office. Please consider resubscribing so you can receive future emergency notifications, and we’ll do our best to limit our text messages to critically urgent information that is as targeted as possible. To resubscribe, simply call or email any school main office and ask to be resubscribed to all text messages.

Students Can Now Receive Text Alerts

Parents, you can now add your child's cell phone number to ParentVUE so they can receive text messages and robo-calls about school closings, significantly delayed school buses, emergencies and other alerts. To subscribe your student to these occasional urgent messages, read the easy instructions here.

Riding the Bus and Food/Drink

While riding the bus, students are expected to keep all food and drink in their backpacks. This expectation prevents choking incidents, exposure to life-threatening allergens, and promotes bus sanitation.


Building Security Procedures

A visitor screening system helps track visitors and volunteers at each school, providing a safe and monitored environment for students and staff. When parents come to pickup their child(ren), or visitors check in, they will be asked to present a valid state issued ID for entering into the system.
