Men and women over the age 18 are required to serve in the Israeli military.

Many Israelis hold service jobs, like selling goods in open air markets.

Geographic

Due to the very dry climate in Israel, farmers must irrigate their land to grow crops throughout the year.

Social

The Western Wall is considered a holy site in Judaism, the dominant religion in Israel.
