“But now, thus says the LORD,who created you, Jacob, and formed you, Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name: you are mine. When you pass through waters, I will be with you; through rivers, you shall not be swept away. When you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, nor will flames consume you. For I, the LORD, am your God, the Holy One of Israel, your savior.” ~ Isaiah 43:1-3a

THE GREAT TURKEY DINNER!
- On Sunday November 5th, we will hold the annual SFA Turkey Dinner - the biggest fundraiser of the school year! Each year the Turkey Dinner brings in thousands of dollars that directly support the school's operating budget. Every dollar we raise from this event is one less that we have to consider as part of next year's tuition! Every family needs to participate in order for this event to be successful!
- There are three main parts to the Turkey Dinner - 1) The Raffle, 2) The Auction, and 3) The Dinner itself. We invite you to help support the school through each of these projects, and we are enormously grateful to parent leaders who have stepped up to help coordinate this year: 1) Erin Tomaszewski (Raffle), 2) Colleen Condon (Auction), and 3) Maggie Miller (Dinner). Maggie is also serving as our overall chairperson for this important event!
- Please check the Brown Envelope this week for your Raffle Tickets! It is vitally important that every family meet their minimum goal for Raffle Ticket sales. As part of the family obligation for tuition, the value of these tickets will be placed on your FACTS agreement if you don't meet the minimum amount.
- Dinner tickets are now available for purchase!
Generations Day
HASA News
- Remember that HASA General Meetings are required attendance! There should be at least one adult from each family present at the meeting on Tue. Oct. 8th at 6:30 PM in the Hall.
- Reminder - Kids may attend the HASA General Meeting, but they must stay with their parents for the duration of the meeting. Students may not be in the back of the Hall, the Lobby, or Outside unsupervised!
- PBIS SOAR shirts will be available for purchase at the meeting!
- Additionally on 10/8, we are going to provide you Tech Help with getting VIRTUS-cleared for volunteering and getting online with PowerSchool! Join us from 3-5 PM before the HASA meeting starts at 6:30 PM so we can help you get into these important systems!
- The Book Club meeting to discuss I'm Still Here: Black Dignity in a World Made for Whiteness by Austin Channing Brown has been moved to Wed. Oct. 9th from 7-9 PM.
Trunk or Treat!
CLAIRE'S GOURMET FUNDRAISER
- Last Wednesday, you received the information about the Claire’s Gourmet Fundraiser in the brown envelope. This is an opportunity to support the school as well as simplify your holiday meal-planning.
- Wouldn’t you like to pull out a pizza after a day of Christmas shopping? Over the holidays you can serve an elegant cake to your guests for dessert or throw some cookies in the oven for the children.
- Better yet, you might save some tuition in the process! The top seller receives a $100 tuition credit, and those who sell ten or more items receive a raffle ticket for an additional $100 credit for each group of ten items sold.
- Family and friends can order online so you do not have to lose time talking to them in person. Remember to double-check your math! Return only the small white summary sheet with your payment. Keep the large order form so that you have names and addresses for delivering the items. Deadline: October 17
