Monarch & Bluestem Voting
At Elementary North, we encourage our students to read the Monarch and Bluestem Children's Choice Book Award Nominees! These books can be checked out from our school library or from Cook Memorial Public Library. The Monarch and Bluestem nominees are chosen by AISLE (Association of Illinois School Library Educators). We will be busy reading many of the nominees in library over the next few weeks, and students will vote before spring break. The winner is selected based on statewide student voting. Students all over Illinois will be reading this year's nominated books and voting for a winner in March!
