We labeled petri-dishes LB/AMP and LB/AMP/ARA. LB is a type of Agar that we will use in our lab. Agar is gelatinous substance obtained from various kinds of red seaweed and used in biological culture media and as a thickener in foods. AMP stands for a semisynthetic form of penicilln used chiefly to treat infections of the urinary and respiratory tracts. AR is a sugar of the pentose class that is a constituent of many plant gums. We prepared the dishes for group one to continue to prepare them for our lab
We put the pellet into the cent. for 5 min
This is the lymzo that we will put into the pellet so it can dissolved over night in the freezer
We are mixing the lymzo into the pellet
We disposed the pellet and added the supernant into the purple tube including 250 mill of binding liquid
We let the buffer drain into test 1 tube. Then we added 250 binding buffer into the top of the column.
Then we transfer the column into tube 2. Then we added wash buffer.
